  Late July 2016 Update - Hooray, the old chef has been rehired! I am putting the score back up to 5 stars.
  Early July 2016 Update - They have a new chef in who is quite awful. Garlic bread is now paste slapped onto white bread - half cooked on one side and burnt on the other. Still great staff and atmosphere, just need to hope a new chef is hired soon.
  
  We eat lunch or dinner here at least once per fortnight. Our favourite is to order a table full of 'nibbles' which are in fact pretty big proportions and at a great price. Pots of calamari, whitebait - you don't find this sort of food in other pubs. And their garlic bread - using slices of artisan bread - lovely.
  The food was often a bit too salty, but the last couple of meals we had no problems with the amount of salt, so that problem seems to have gone away.
